Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
WeMQTT (“we”, “the app”) is a native macOS MQTT client. This policy explains what information the app handles and what we do not collect.
Information the app stores on your Mac
WeMQTT stores data locally on your device so the product can work offline and keep your workspace between launches. This may include:
- Connection profiles (host, port, credentials you enter, TLS settings)
- Subscriptions, publish topics, automation rules, and related preferences
- Received MQTT message history you choose to keep in the app
- Application logs generated while you use the app
- Language preference and other UI settings
This data remains on your Mac unless you export it yourself (for example as a scenario package or message export).
Network communication
When you connect to an MQTT broker, WeMQTT sends and receives MQTT traffic only to the hosts and ports you configure. We do not operate those brokers and we do not route your MQTT payloads through WeMQTT servers.
What we do not collect
- No account required to use the app
- No analytics SDK that tracks your usage for advertising
- No sale of personal information
- No automatic upload of broker credentials or message payloads to us
Purchases
If you buy WeMQTT through the Mac App Store, payment and purchase records are processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Children
WeMQTT is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
